Dark colour - typical from Toro. Bouquet well balanced. Taste of dark berries and liquorize. Still some acid, but a very drinkable wine. Will still last 2 to 4 years without problems.

Discrete on the nose. Full bodied yet elegant. Cherries, dark berries and spices. Very rounded tannins and lively acid. The presence of the vanilla from the oak weights to much. But all in all the elements of the wine is well mixed up which gives good complexity. Good balance and lenght. Wine with personality.

Dark purple in the glass with medium to full legs. The nose has dark fruit on the nose with hints of either eucalyptus or licorice. It's a rich lush wine in the mouth with tons of fruit and nice acidity. It has some tannins but the wine is a joy to drink now and I expect it will be even better in a couple of years.

A good spanish wine. At the 20 to 25 dollar price point, a great bargain. This went really well with cheese. Velvety and the taste develops as it breathes.

Tonos rubí, capa media-alta. En nariz presenta fruta madura, tierra mojada y algo de golosina. En boca es algo acuoso, muy astringente (pide comer algo intenso). Algo picante, también presenta tierra mojada. Redondo y agradable.

Lovely blueberry fruit here, violets too, and more freshness than the 2014 Termes. Nicely balanced despite its 14.5% alcohol. A favourite from last year still showing well. € 15,50

Very similar notes to the 2014 I drank in June last year. Ripe, but very pure purple fruits. Very youthful but really balanced and just disturbingly drinkable. No heat or over-stewed fruit. A lovely, slightly floral back note on the nose. Very smooth on the palate, perhaps a touch less tannin than the prior vintage, but still a bit of grip on the finish. Open three days without losing its freshness. Terrific value.

Spanish Holiday Wines 2017; 7/1/2017-7/16/2017 (La Manga Club): Youthfully vibrant inky purple. Bursting with fruit, and evolves rapidly in the glass on warming up after a short chill. Violets, raspberries the main components. Bananas and chocolate orange in there too. Some vanilla from the oak. And the dandelion and burdock I see in my review of an earlier vintage is absolutely spot on here too. Notably fine grained, beautifully textured, tannins quite furry. Easy to recognize as a Tempranillo. Distinctively Toro. A very fine example. 14.5% ABV. Eur 14,75.

Tannic. Mellowed after an hour or so, then fairly concentrated dark fruit.
