So drinkable. Fully integrated and balanced with good acid and smooth tannins. Wood is present alongside berries and a slight hint of gaminess. Not overly complex or profound but a versatile wine for many dishes.

Wow this is a very powerful wine. Black as ink, smooth as oil with a great range of detail and complexity. On the surface a lovely nose of dark fruit and spices, but "underneath the hood" dirty undertones of soil, blood and soya sauce. The taste is huge and with a very long finish. The alcohol is nicely balanced with a firm tannin structure. Eric and Joel Durand are described as "rising stars" in Cornas and I truly believe the hype. Unlike many young wines from Cornas, this wine is actually approachable now

Mordern style, plenty of wood - I would not have ever guessed it Cornas. The fruit-forward berries give it almost Bdx blend qualities. Smooth and generally balanced, though tannins and wood could use further integration from a few years. More approachable today than their 2015 “Empreintes” Cornas.
Given this oaken chemistry-set terroir-attenuated winemaking style, I probably won’t drink Durand again for a while. 88-89

Nice burst of blackberry and blueberry flavors up front, with some darker fig and pepper notes on the finish

Notes of meaty lamb, rosemary, blackberry, plum. Slightly astringent. Could use another 1-2 years in bottle.
