Well that was disappointing! After reading recent reviews, I was expecting a stunning wine tonight. Instead I tasted a wine that was perfectly pleasant and smooth, but with muted flavors and nothing exciting. I'm hoping that this is just an off bottle and that my others will be better, or perhaps more time will help, but at the moment this wine seems to not be worth its high price.

4 hour decant from split- well balanced with a beautiful mouthful of subdued fruit. Not an over the top cab which will continue to improve for another decade and hold for at least 20 years. Very enjoyable. Revisit 2023

Decanted for 2 hours. Deep ruby red color, aromas of dark fruit, blackberry, currant, hint of pepper. Full body, high acidity, moderate smooth tannins, good balance with moderately long finish. Not your typical weeknight wine, but what the heck, its my birthday! Beautiful wine!

Medium plus nose, dark fruit, sweet herbs, blue fruit, black plum, baking spice. Palate gives all kinds of layers, sweet spice, black pepper, cassis, dried herbs, black fruit layers galore, medium plus structure, very long finish. Still primary and could use years, but obviously a pedigreed style.

Tasted at a teeming event but first impressions were impressive, inviting, thicc...The superlatives keep coming and coming. Plenty to enjoy now with plenty in reserve to enjoy on a pleasant date.

Deep and dark ruby red. A bit elegant on the attack of the nose with purple flowers leading into a rich undertone of cassis, blackberries and a bit of woodiness. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) with a full body. Thick and lush palate coated in black cherries, black currants, dark powdered cocoa, gravel and lots of baking spices. Dry and long finish. Drink from 2025 till 2043.
Made up of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 20 months in 85% new French oak. Only 675 cases produced. (94+)

Loads of licorice, black cherry, cocoa, vanilla bean and smoke pop as soon as the wine hits the glass. Silky, lush and rich, the finish is all about the layers of ripe, sweet, black and blue fruits and licorice. Very suave and rich, you can enjoy this young, or age it.

The Vineyard 29 Estate Cabernet was paired with “Slow-Cooked Duck Confit Cassoulet in Pork Au Jus with White Bean Savory Herbs and Croutons.”
The nose reals nice floral, blue and purple laced fruits. Dark currants, ripe; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, black plum with some baked strawberries. Dark rich soils, nicely layered baking spices; cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, vanilla. Dark spice, liqueured notes, saddle-wood, leather light fresh tobacco with dark fresh floral bouquet with violets.
The body is full, round, rich and velvety. The tannins are silky with a finish of dust. Dark currants, ripe; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, black plum with some baked strawberries. Dark spice, liqueured notes, milk chocolate, mocha powder, saddle-wood, leather light fresh tobacco with dark fresh floral bouquet with violets. Very nice acidity. Dark purple/red color, sweet nose of red and black cherry, very tannic, but still enjoyable, red cherry flavors with blackberry and black cherry, some cherry liqueor, after 4 hours in the glass still tannic, long finish, low acid, very bold Napa cab, won’t drink again for at least 5 years if not ten.

Decanted 45 minutes. Deep and intense Cab with lovely black fruit and earth, supple tannins, unobtrusive acid. Crowd pleaser.

Before I had the 2013 vintage, I would argue this was the best wine made by vineyard 29.
A big wine, black fruit, herbal notes, cedar, tobacco, leather, hints of chocolate, layers of favors, finish with tannins. A+

This was just too tight and we did decant it for over 3 hours. Nice coloring, great pedigree, over priced
