This is the second bottle I have drunk - it has gotten better. Still a lot of legs left in this vintage. Same characteristics as before, only bit mellower. Had with Prime Rib, was great.

Bought this through Last Bottle a while ago. I think it was a mystery wine. I really like it. Sort of a Caymus style, only much cheaper. If you like that style try this one in this vintage.

A nose of dark fruits and spices, dark garnet on color. A medium to full bodied Cab, with black cherry, blackberry, licorice and spice on long finish, a good value. www.winelx.com

Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon is solid and reliable with a typically fruit driven front end. Purchased a bottle through Last Bottle at under $30, which is a screaming deal considering it is currently selling for slightly under $49 online. It is drinking nicely now with softened tannins and softer fruit, well-integrated with some acidity and medium finish. I think it's further development is likely limited and would imbibe sooner than later. Cheers!

Impulse purchase (I don't remember where I got it but its been lurking in my cellar awhile) 15.0% abv
Served (1/2 hr decant) with Lobster Raviolis & Caprese Salad.
Dark purplish-red on the pour. Tantalizing nose; hint of alcohol (15%), with nice dark red fruit aromas, raspberry & cassis. Medium-bodied, pleasant, full-flavored palate of Blackberry & Plum in the background, with just a touch of harshness. Slightly bitter/astringint lingering finish. Initially thought about 88 Points.
Tried again the following day. Wine had significantly developed into a very elegant wine. Fruit had come more to the fore, tannins were mellow and any harshness previously detected had dissipated, as had any bitterness in the finish; still slightly tart, but pleasant and lingering. Spouse highly endorsed.

Like hitting a 5 iron off a par 5, basic cali cab - well made and solid QPR, but nothing you’ll tell your grandkids about. The finish is a tad short, the tannins have mellowed nicely and acidity is in check. Mid bodied. In its drinking window.
Complex in aroma, spices, little chocolate, bell pepper, grape skin, sea salt… and maybe plenty of other imagination. Gonna breath it enuf. Taste complex, little tannic and bitter at first, later is much more harmony and round. But gone to little too straight at later stage. Overall I think is good fellow with 100% cab, worth the try :)

Wow! This is an impressive Cab for under $40. This wine makes a grand entrance and continues to dazzle as it dances across your palate. I wish it had a longer finish though. Well balanced, complex, very smooth. Probably pairs great with food, but I enjoyed this tremendously on its own. Wish I had a case. Absolutely will buy again.

93. Blackberry, dark chocolate, very smooth, vanilla, oak, tannins are low and even more so after 45 minutes of airing out, fruit mellows out also but still pretty fruity. Between medium to heavy bodied. Overall very nice.
Jan 2023 seems about the same as previous note.

The white label was meant for the Asian market and then the China tarriffs killed that market apparenently. Its all estate and no valley floor. Apparently this is exactly the distinction Cabernet, just another label.

Really great structure for the price point. Medium bodied with nice length, well rounded, refined...a little over tilted toward the super sweet side though, uneven that way.

Dark fruits and violets on the nose. Mid palate is plums and blackcurrant with a hefty dose of vanilla from the oak. Some heat and tannic grip on the back end. Modern new world style for sure, but balanced and well-made. Delivers the goods if you're having with red meat.

Nose: Initial spice, sour tobacco, bright cranberries and unripe cherries. With some time becomes dark fruits, slight oak and deep forest floor.
Palate: Deep earth, dark fruits, slight oak/tobacco and same slight spice from the nose.
Dark, medium Ruby. Dry but a very slight touch of sweetness, with low, soft tannins. Medium-plus body with low acidity. Decent finish of about 4 seconds. Smooth and approachable. Needs a quick breather out of the bottle though. Lots of deep earth on the palate and a very subtle sweetness to it.

Ripe and aromatic black currant, vanilla, milk chocolate and clay nose. Juicy, sweet-centred palate; tannins are firm and ripe and the alcohol is high and lip-tingling. Youthful, lengthy finish. Should improve with a couple of years relaxing in the cellar. 3.5/5

Nose: Red berries, forest floor, some herbal notes (an old used wooden box used for herbs and spices I imagine), slight oak.
Palate: Dark red fruit mixed with earth from a forest floor, slight spice and slightly juicy.
Dark ruby but still translucent. Dry and heavier on the earth/soil flavors slightly laced with subtle spice. The dark red fruit is still there but is over integrated by the earth (nothing wrong about that). Medium plus bodied with medium tannins as well.. soft but still grippy. Decent finish of about 3-4 seconds with lingering oak tastes. Less on the fruit on this one; it stands in the background while the earth notes stand in the foreground.

Dark cassis, vanilla pod, chocolate, star anise, espresso beans and hints of toasty cedar on the gentle nose. Need some air to open up the dense bouquet. Palate is filled with sweet and spicy black berries with a deep finish, clearly showing the sunshine. But the ripe fruit is fresh, not stewed. There is sufficient soft acidity to balance the voluptuous structure. The tannins are very fine and velvety. The elements are disjointed for now, some hollowness in the medium bodied mid-palate between the entry and finish. Definitely need at least 3 years for them to come together to create a harmonized palate. Given the polite personality and a balanced structure, this wine should be drinking well when young and will also age for 10 years or more. 89-91 pts.
Retasted in Jan 2019, the wine remained the same since 5 mths ago.
