Although this isn't a fruit bomb, it is sweeter with stewed fruit notes that isn't well balanced by acidity. Mild tannins. Heady nose. Blackberry, cassis, plum on the palate. Full bodied. Perfect BBQ wine. Would repurchase at the Costco pricing of 19.99, if I was lucky enough to find it again.

If you like a solid Napa cab you will like this bottle, if you can find it anywhere. Thirty dollars per bottle. This bottle is equal to ,if not better than the “ expensive cabs “ I have bought.

2016 was a great year for Napa and this might be the best representation I've experienced anywhere near this price point. Might be the perfect drinking window...

Deep purple color, pronounced nose of dark black fruit with baking spice cinnamon and cassis. Medium minus acidity, full body heft courtesy of 15.2% alcohol. Not objectionable, but seriously warming on the medium plus finish. Ripe black fruit of currant, berry, and hints of dark chocolate. This is a serious value wine if you enjoy full throttle Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.

Crowd pleaser for sure. I bit more fruit forward than I currently prefer, but it's far from sweet. Dark black fruit and almost purple at the rim. Perfect cellar protector for when you want something, but not ready to commit to a Private Reserve for the evening.

Dark deep purple with fruit and floral nose more prominent on day 2. Concentrated sweet ripe fruit entry with mild berry acid soft tannic finish. It is a not unpleasant mouthful some tasters will find too monolithically ripe rather than polished and complex. Retail was $40 on sale much more than the bargain hunters' finds. Martini Napa Valley or Alexander Valley Cabs - if my recall is correct- offer more complexity.

Nice smooth, inky cab. Good balance. Intense concentrated and unusual pomegranate and raspberry nose and also in the mouth. Blue and red fruit, cassis. Perfecr tannin. Very pleasant.

Sweet fruit and medium finish, lots of vanilla, no acidity and not much in the way of tannins. The fruit tastes slightly cooked, and there is nothing else except for vanilla. A somewhat flabby wine, lacking in structure. Drink now.

Big mouthful of fruit, ample but not over bearing oak; totally new world style. Held up well, actually improved, over a week (not gassed) in the fridge. Costco $30 flyer, fair price.

Color, Clarity and Body are perfect. Nice mouth feel, layers of different flavors from beginning to end - berries, oak, etc. Nice finish should drink well for a few more years.

Wow, another very so-so wine. I got mine from WTSO, but I think Beringer must be unloading this everywhere, I saw it in our Costco for the same $30. So, so many wines that are better then this one at the same (or much lower!) price point!!! Do Not Waste Your Time.

Giving it 88 Points, but it was just a bit “ehhhh”. Too fruity and while it was nice, rich and full, it just didn’t take it up a notch. A nice, easy drinker, but nothing more.
QPR? Fair. No need to get more. No surprise you can’t find this on Beringer’s website (or anywhere else!). I think this was a “rebottle” for WTSO. Anyone find it online, I’ve looked, please send me the URL.

This wine was really good tonight - good color, clarity and body. Nice berries upfront, middle to end vanilla and toasty oak. This wine is drinking really well, better then before.

Good color, clarity and body - Upfront is nice, soft light fruit, plum and vanilla middle to end. The finish is nice, I can still taste lots of good stuff for a while.

A nice medium ruby cab. Perfectly dry and smooth. After the fruit I get the taste of honey. Each drink was better than the last. Definitely one to buy again.

Big and full of dark berries, good balance. Give the wine some more time if you want it to be in top form. Decanting is recommended for a few years

Mid-dark garnet; ripe grape, cassis, red fruit, herbaceous nose; soft-mid body; softening tannins; fat, hot (15.2 alc.), grapey finish; almost sweet (some residual sugar?). 15.5-16 UC Davis scale, 89-90 other scales.

Nice balance, a little oaky but doesn’t strike me as overoaked or as a cover-up. Velvety smooth. Great value at Costco.
