Wow, I'd really really shorten my drinking window on this if I had any left. I thought it'd go for another ten years, but now is the time. Truly the first Mordoree I've ever had, CdR included, that I've said this about. Jeff guessed 02 Cote-Rotie (and their is a prominent smoky syrah from a less than stellar note to it) while Rafer nailed it as 98 Lirac. Classic flavor and aromatic profile, and while not fading in color, the wine's more advanced than I would've guessed personally.

Very consistent across the 10 or so bottles that I've had of this wine over the last 5 years.

1999 Cabernet Retrospective, Part 4 (Tasted Blind) (Tom's house in Palo Alto, California): Gorgeous nose (B++/A-). Excellent palate (B+/B++).

Consistent with my previous bottles. Still appears to easily have another good 3-5 years left.

Quite fatty & meaty! Would have said Northern Rhone is tasted blind. Still drinking quite well.
