Perfect Meursault, toasty and mineraly, nice acidity, and nicely softened tannins. Perfect with a piece of fennel oil roast sea bass. Would rate higher but need to be consumed now, in a perfect place but nowhere to go but down over the next year or two.

This wine is clear with no evidence of visual fault. The wine is a medium gold in color. The nose is clean and of a med+ intensity of aroma. Primary aroma characteristics include cotton candy, canned asparagus, white flowers, green apple, a hint of lime, honeydew melon, and wet stone. Secondary aromas include bread dough, butter, cheese, and butterscotch. Tertiary aromas are almond, toffee, dried apricot, dried banana, cinnamon, vegetal aromas, and nutmeg. The wine is dry with med acidity, med+ body, the finish is long, and the palate is consistent with the nose. Overall, this wine is of very good quality and should be drunk now.

Apricot, peach and honey, rich and complex, with sufficient remaining acidity. Might be at its peak. An excellent mature village Meursault.

Maison Jadot Cellar Visit and Barrel Tasting (Savigny-les-Beaune): Barrel tasting. Apple, hazelnut and marzipan. Very fat and concentrated. Good potential based on flavor profile, but tough to tell how this will emerge in terms of ripeness vs elegance.
