Didn’t know I had this vineyard as bottle was wrapped. What a nice find as this bottle has held up well. Cedar, Dark cherry and some plum, but not overdone, nice medium+ body, balance and beautiful acidic finish. Was best after 60 min. A lot of sediment in bottle but not much bricking. Real nice.

Magnum. Full disclosure, this is the wine that got me into wines. I love love love this wine. Shared it with great friends over a long evening before they moved to Spain, and the wine was a perfect complement. No specific notes, but I can find no fault.

Pure dark cherry and cassis on the nose, smells beautiful. Soft and silky mouthfeel. Toasty flavors of red berries and a little campfire smoke. Herbal action on the finish that is dry and moderately tannic. Drink now or over the next few years. ($35)

nose: well balanced and more classic nose of dill, dark red cherries, cedar, bell peppers, and sour cranberries
taste: full bodied with good tannins still along with balanced tones of oak spices, dark red cherries, cedar, sour cranberries and some bits of black currants
overall: this is a real quality cab. Drinking well now and balanced with more classic tones on both the nose and palate

Drank with friends on OTBN (Open That Bottle Night). Dark purple/red in color, nose of vanilla and oak. Dark berries, cherries and chocolate to the nose....complex wine, yet balanced. High alcohal content and the legs ran down my glass on all sides. Big fan of Napa Cabs and Hanna, but very surprised at how good this Cab wine was from Sonoma....

Deep black purple. Great nose of vanilla, smoky oak, and vegetal green. The tannins have resolved, making this a very rounded wine. Flavors of red berry, hazelnut and cigar are well balanced and very drinkable. Also tried on the secong night where ther fruit has come more forward. Glad that I still have a few bottles of this wine.

This was the clear favorite at a New Year's tasting and it was up against some heavyweights....99 Merryvale Profile, 00 Rubicon, 96 Silver Oak, 00 Darioush. This is a very complex wine, really interesting, I can't really recall a Sonoma wine with this much going on. The nose is magnificient, it's nearly sensual overload and the taste and finish are nearly as good. Take a black cherry, dip it in white chocolate, dust it with clay and then smoke a cigar and you've got the essence of this wine. Big and bold, this wine has perfectly balanced tannin structure....I'm guessing you could open this baby up in 2015 and it would still be wonderful. Makes a visit to the Hanna winery suddenly high on my list of things to do in Sonoma county.

Deep red to purple, to the rim, opaque. Huge nose of red fruit, slightly medicinal and slightly metallic but not offputting. Lots of red fruit, some vanilla, a tiny bit of green in the mouth, mildly sharp. Still tastes quite young and fresh. Right now its about 88-89 pts, very good but mildly out of balance, probably will be worth a couple more pts in a couple more years, def. a lot of fruit in it. Good wine @ $25-30, not worth the $50+ MSRP.

What an interesting taste. The bottle opens closed, with a metalic bouquet which seems certain to dissipate. It doesn't over its 90 minutes in my glass. However fruit and tannins begin to emerge shortly, with a depth in carmel. While the fruit tastes pleasing, it is welded to the unrelenting steely nose and taste. WS says drink 2005-2012, so this may evolve.

MOE: "This wine is old enough to vote and get drafted! Really smooth, I really like it."
Kept its nose and flavor over this period, glad to open.

Hanna produces great wine at an awesome price point. This juice is no exception...big and bold, but a smooth clean finish.

Simply outstanding at this point. Showing deep plum, dark cherry, and cassis. Medium to full body with a very long finish.
