  • Medium colored. Very grapey nose with distinct red berry scents. You can tell this isn't one of the usual suspects from the Bordeaux area. Although a very different grape, this somehow reminds me of the Lafleur terroir in Pomerol where you can detect a lot of iron in the soil, and consequently in the wine. I like this because of its idiosyncraticity, which makes it special and out of the ordinary.
Fine acidity running through the wine, which gives it lift as well as digestability. Unbeatable at 12 euros!

  • On a slightly warmer slope on the property. To me a really nice mix of fruity, savory and SA funk on the nose. Just a touch of the latter. Not much new oak. A good backbone. Funny that i think this is so good but not too many people agree.

  • "Most organic place I've ever been" - Jesse (Importer). Non-irrigated (dry farm). 100% Cab. 15-20 months French oak. Natural ferment. Coastal, across m mountains from Longridge. Waste water even recycled. Sweet black fruit aromas. Good mouthfeel, not too fat. Fresh. Nice, firm tannin, yet low abv; Structure, not flab, finishes with some spice. Pleasant acidity as well. Great value.

  • Lots of raspberry fruit on the nose. On the other side of the mountains from ... Longridge. Kloof means gulch or valley.

Just total raspberry fruit mixed with a pretty green note to it. 100% Cab Sauv. No SA funk on it. Just good structure, harvested just a touch under which makes it super awesome - great structure and acidity and I bet a seriously long life to it as well. All natural ferments.
