  • Very nice. Very food friendly.
Balanced sweet/tart, *soft* tannins. Black cherries, black pepper, with slight (nice) earthy notes. Finish is plums with a light floral touch that lingers.
We had this with grilled lamb loin chops, and the cinnamon in the rub really paired nicely.

  • A well-made Sangiovese from Southern Oregon's Rogue Valley—an appellation that shows great promise, turning out Spanish and Italian varieties of focus and depth. The 2014 Ledger David Sangiovese offers up a sumptuous bouquet of black plums, and blackberries, all resting beneath a garland of violets. In the mouth, it's plush and open knit with black fruit neatly encased in fine tannins and cedar and bay leaf—that charming violet note reemerges at the close. 14.6% ABV | Sample
