Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Light in color with significant bricking around the edges. Nose revealed some maderization. Opened with light notes of cherry and raspberry, transitioning to slight foresty notes. A light sherried/maderization note persists throughout, throwing off the balance of the wine, though it doesn't dominate, allowing the other flavors to peek through showing what might have been. At over 30 years old, this is well passed peak, heading toward dead wine territory.
