Decanted for 2 hours, was a second bottle on the night. Ate with our Easter Prime Rib, and was not as intense as the previous wine. Still, dark fruits on the nose and palate, cherry, herbs, and chocolate.
Will be a wonderful, well balanced in a few years. I did not get heavy alcohol or oak.

still young and intense--but the flip side of it was the wine felt super hot to me...no signs of any soft tannins and a lot of alcohol starting at the mid palate....good flavor profile--dark and sour cherry with a linear profile...but need to reconcile the strong alcohol which I think eventually will fade.

Last enjoyed in January of 2020 and I'll stay with 92. Opened from a 3L and decanted.
Nose was still lovely and showcasing the fruits, spices and organics. Palate remains well balanced although it appears the acidity has increased or more noticeable from a larger format. Regardless, nice fruit with some creamy chocolate, leather and oak spices.
Paired with an eye of Ribeye roast and it was quite delicious! Still has time in its window but not sure if cellaring longer will improve where it is today, IMO.

Solid and drinking in a good spot. A definite Spring Mtn new world fruit bomb with black fruits, spice, and bitter chocolate with a touch of green herb. A bit linear and four square, but still very good.

Blackfruit, cassis, spice, cigar box, earth and slight floral aromas. Lots of flavor, well balanced. Blackfruits, cassis, cedar, spice, earth, leather. The tannins have softened in the medium finish. Very good now

Very nice, and true to form it has some distinct Sonoma vs Napa qualities. It lacks the heavy oaky character that many Napa cabs have, and replaces it with some of the brightness of Sonoma.

Been a while since I’ve had a Pride, this is one of the better examples. Dark red and black fruits, licorice, asphalt, toasted oak, the oak is very noticeable however with the amount of fruit it’s kept just under the covers unless you are very sensitive. Very good as a PnP.

Pride's 2015 Cab was sourced from both Napa County (54%) and Sonoma County (46%). An opaque ruby blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and 6% Merlot, it delivers a ripe package of black and blue fruit, accented with notes of bittersweet chocolate, baking spices, lavender, cedar and tobacco. Full-bodied, fresh and without alcoholic heat (14.7%), it weaves in a judicious amount of oak and a generous aliquot of fine-grained tannins. Solid on the middle palate and medium-to-long on the back end, this is a quality red that should provide pleasure throughout the decade. Drink now-2030.

PnP. Very aromatic. Blackfruit, cassis, spice, cigar box, earth and slight floral. Lots of flavor, well balanced. Blackfruits, cassis, cedar, spice, earth, leather. The tannins have softened and show up in the finish. Very good now, but could benefit from another 3 years and hold many more.

Opened and decanted for 40 minutes, consumed over several hours.
Dark purple with little clarity. Nose of black fruits, cigar box and a slight jammy aroma.
Very nice on the palate! Decently integrated and balanced at 5 years. Plenty of fresh black fruits with leather some hints of chocolate and a decent finish with nice hints of allspice.
A good showing at 5 years and will cellar well for 5 more. Great alone but pairs nicely with filet, not overly powerful but tasty and the right acidity.

A basket of black fruits nestled in Christmas pud. Opulent and hedonistic, everything is a bit obvious and tinged with a sweetness I find overripe. Well done and needs time, though seems to lack the backbone and structure to age in a way I would find attractive. Certainly a crowdpleaser.

Solid wine. Followed 2011 Groth Reserve at Miga. Not as ready as Groth but still a good wine. Would have been a point or two higher with decant but didn’t have time for that with all the food coming out. Good value.

as is my tradition, I had a 375ml half bottle at Harbor Grill in DP Harbor with my dinner.
I thought it was very consistent with the previous vintages, very Big, deep dark color with an aroma that is just outstanding. Dark Fruit with earth and oak. The taste mirrors the aroma and is just amazing. It's big and powerful, but exceptionally smooth. Even though it's 14.9%, there's no heat whatsoever. Excellent mouth feel, with tons of texture and a very long finish. Without a doubt, this wine has Many Years ahead of it.

Great vintage for Pride cabernet. Still primary with a nose of dark fruit, tannins relatively soft. In this vintage Pride did a great job crafting a wine complete with the pure, ripe fruit Napa/Sonoma is so well known for yet maintaining a structure many Napa cabs fail to achieve. There's nothing over-extracted or over-oaked here - everything is in balance. When you're in the mood for a rich Napa cab without going over-the-top, this is a great choice. Excellent now with decanting, but even better in 3-5 years. Tasted 3 times with consistent notes.

This will warrant a higher score with more time in bottle. The parts of the wine just need to integrate more and the tannin needs to mellow out. Nevertheless, it has the stuffing to age well for 3-5 years.

First winery on day three traveling from Sonoma to Napa Valley was Pride Mountain Vineyards with Paul. The next red wine is the Cabernet Sauvignon with fruit coming from both Sonoma (46%) and Napa (54%) Counties. This bottling is made up of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and 6% Merlot. Aged for nineteen months in 50% new French oak barrels. 5,945 cases produced.
Deep ruby red in appearance. Lush and dark nose with notes of dark red berries, cassis, black tea, mocha, vanilla and some gravel. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. A little bit gritty on the palate with layers of dark cocoa, blackberries, plums, touch of forest floor, dark spices and a bit of gravel. Dry and long finish. Drink till 2028. (92+)
