Michael's Wedding: Complex with a lot of minerality. Day three, outward perfume, very chiseled with chalky white fruit, lemon curd, vanilla, stone and again dominant minerality, concentrated perhaps due to small crops, intense. Very good given the vintage condition. 93-94

Dazzling wine, but too young now. Has a bit of a musky complexity on the nose. Salinity for days. Superb mineral content and acidity. Citrus fruit. All wound up tightly right now. Needs time...easily 10 years. Some 2016 white Burgs can be fat/flabby. Not this one. This is fantastic juice - I will enjoy revisiting this wine much later! (This was served alongside a 2016 Phillipe Colin Chevalier-Montrachet, which showed equally high quality, and on this night seemed less tight.)

First bottle of this. Initially the nose was elusive and it was tightly wound so we left it in the decanter. With time and air it blossomed and was an utter joy. I'd suggest an hour minimum decant.

Off the list at Spago Maui. Expressive and boastful on pop n' pour. A vintage that has flashy, candied white fruit with loads of mineral and plenty of juicy cut in it's youth. Fun, but better with some time as this gains nuance and complexity.

Ripe grapefruit and pineapple notes on the nose. Citrus, peaches, and minerals framed and balanced by nice acidity in the mouth. Reminds me of the 2013 flavor profile. Had the wine at Passage 53 in Paris and recently at home with similar notes.

Surprisingly gentle. Nice with home made crab cakes.

Still a bit of a mystery, searching for its own identity, I think.

Beaucoup trop jeune. Très discret au début... s’est ouvert après 3 heures. Doit être attendu.
