Pizza Mundo, and it’s cold, so CPD it is. Very nice, but should have saved half, to let it soften some. Rich, but still tight, has time to go. Very nice. Yum

Excellent. Drinks well on PnP and though I'd like to give the next bottle some more air, this didn't change too much over an hour. I'd have guessed an even more Grenache-dominant blend vs. the published 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault. Sweet kirsch Grenache fruit and some spice, a touch warming but with no alcohol heat, some plum and dark fruits coming in. Not the most complex wine, but very well made and in balance.
Solid QPR sub-$30 USD.

Medium garnet color with minimal rim clearing Medium plus aromas of ripe and dried cherry with dried herbs/ potpourri and white peeper Medium plus bodied with palate of red and black fruit with dried herbs and garrique Medium plus tannins and medium plus acidity with medium plus alcohol as well Moderate length led by fruit and tannins Nice wine but a little one dimensional and lacking in complexity to warrant a higher score

Opened but did not need to decant - it was accessible 10-min after opening. Paired with stuffed chicken baked potatoes. Murky purple-crimson color. The nose brings whiffs of garrigue, red roses, black licorice, cloves and spices, and cherry cobbler. The palate is full, square, large, and linear, bringing a well-balanced blend of red cherry and dark blackberry fruit mixed with mint, dark chocolate, dried leather, and crushed gravel. The tannins on the tail are still thick but despite this, this is a quenching wine due to its juicy acidity, integrated tannins, and supple texture. Drink 2023-2030. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 93.

Rhône or Nôwhere 2022 (Malcom, Nebraska): Over shadowed by its peers on this night though a very respectable and lovely wine. Comes across as very 2016 vintage which, in my book, is complimentary.

Deep ruby red. A slight bit of pepper on the nose with some black cherries, slight olive and plum. Medium tannins (5/10) with a medium plus to full body. Well rounded palate with dark spices fruit, a hint of olive and dark berries. Long finish. Drink till 2032.

This is OK, wouldn’t go out of my way to buy again. Not great QPR, a little bitter, a little fizzy, does have some classic southern Rhône flavors. Bottom line, enjoyed it well enough but better stuff out there for the money.

For an entry level CNdP this is great, and excellent value. Smells fresh on the nose, light red fruit, but thick and rich on the palate with excellent balancing acidity and mild tannins. Nice blackberry and dark cherry fruit. This really is excellent and delicious. Had a few of these base St Siffrein's over the years and this was the best one to date.

Similar experience to the prior taster who thought his bottle was corked - that blew off after a few minutes and a nice straightforward CdP emerged. The bitter wet cardboard was particularly stressful because this was the third bottle in 24 hours of this wine, one from 15 and one from 16, then this from 16, and the first two WERE corked (believe me, 24 hours after opening, there was no doubt). This is actually kinda tannic, and I suspect another few years would do some good. Also right now at least a little muted, but classic southern rhone flavors, maybe a little sweet, but subtle gamyness and pretty ripe fruit.

Decanted for a few hours. Upon decant, loads of fruit aromatics. Over time, herbs and savory notes opening up. Nice on the palate -- little oak influence, savory bits and herbs. Classic style.

Upon opening this exhibited such strong notes of damp wood and cardboard that I thought it was corked! Fortunately those blew off within 10 minutes, revealing a round, medium-full bodied wine that's more quaffable than food friendly, and not complex at all. Fairly fine with aeration on its own thus. 15% ABV, well integrated. 89-90 -- Update: 24 hours later, the 2 oz left in a covered glass are drinking much, much better, exhibiting savory notes with good complexity. 92

Super nice, especially for the money. Will definitely benefit from cellaring. Decanted for 2 hours and it opened up nicely expressing blackberry, brambleberry, peppery notes and garrigue. Not overly ripe and the 15% alcohol is well integrated, though again this will get better over time.

Served by the glass. Less strenuous than its peers. Cleaner, more defined, with something that we can define as balance and with memories of Provencal herbs and black berries. Nothing to die for but at least it goes out of the norm of today.
Servido por copas. Menos atosigante que sus pares. Más limpio, mas definido, con algo que podemos definir como equilibrio y con recuerdos a hierbas provenzales y a bayas negras. Nada por lo que morir pero al menos se sale de la norma de hoy en día.

This is a beautiful, young Châteauneuf that is silky in texture, full of fruit and also savory notes (like hints of garrigue). Made with organically grown grapes too. Great find/recommendation from Garagiste at $26+. Wish I had bought a few more. Will know next time.

The peppery notes are strong here, which is a good thing as it really adds to the fruit. The wine is supple, fresh, juicy and sweet, with a lush, deep finish. The wine was made from blending 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre and 5% Cinsault. Give it a few years in the cellar as there is potential for aging here.

Somewhat thin. 30 min of air helped. A little spice but lacked fruit and tannins. No depth, no earth or spice. Fruit was all cherry.
