2016 Domaine Belluard Le Feu ; from Savoie region made with Gringet grapes. I’m not familiar with these wines , but this one is very approachable. Nose surprisingly aromatic, honey, tropical fruit. Minimal oak. Palate average acidity, just the right amount of creaminess , nice tropical fruits on palate too, quince , passion fruit, pine apple... overall delicious .

My first still Gringet. So far I had only the sparkling version. Nose of pure, crispy apples, quince and some sponti nose. Good acidity, minerality, medium body and some creaminess with time. Not 💯% sure, if Gringet performs better as a sparkling wine, but this is really good.

Great. Average acidity, average alcohol. On the aromatic side more of a clean green apple with some citrus an herbs. Light and a bit waterrish aftertaste.

Dinner at Jade Court (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. There's a really nice nose here with some spiciness and tropical fruit that reminds me a bit of young riesling. It's quite exuberant with a moderate amount of fruit cut with some fresh acidity. Seems a bit anonymous as far as character goes, and I didn't really place this as from anywhere.

a regal mountain wine - serious, lots of apple and structure up front with the previously noted grapefruit peel / quinine character. It improved after a few days in the refrigerator so likely needs more time to fully develop. Expensive, but a very good wine

This is starting to show some age. Still delicious and quite minerally.
