Enjoyable and easy drinking but missing some depth and finishes on the short side. The wife didn’t “get” it. I will say the QPR is solid with an $8 price tag.

Steamy, spicy, full bodied with minerality but not quite the metallic jolt of its neighbor Priorat...dare I say more balanced. Tastes more on the Priorat side of the spectrum (slate) than Montsant (sand).

A great value as always. Not as full and blue as some prior years I’ve tasted, but quite good. Mostly raspberry, mustard seed, celery. A bit Cru Beaujolais-like. Great with food.

Gave 2h of air to this blend (50% Garnatxa, 30% Merlot, 20% Syrah) from Montsant (Northeast Spain). Old vines and aged for 9 months in oak.
Medium/Pale Ruby color. Lovely aromas of blackberry, raspberry, vanilla, cardamom and mustard seed. Medium-bodied, plush velvet texture, lively acid, rich with juicy blackberry flavor, hints of blueberries. Gains some earthy qualities in the mid-palate, and finishes spicy and mouthwatering. Accessible and excellent QPR.

2h air for this blend of 50% Garnatxa, 30% Merlot and 20% Syrah. Medium Ruby color. Musky aromas of cherry, blackberry and white pepper. Creamy texture and coarse tannins with red and brambly fruits on entry, citrus and spice in the finish. Great weekday drinker, especially considering the price.

Extremely solid at this price point. Soft and approachable, but not flabby or sweet. Decent structure and enjoyable drink. A solid 88 pointer than you can drink every day and serve at parties. Happily purchasing more.

Very approachable and fruity Montsant wine, composed of 50 % Garnatxa (70-year-old vines ), 30 % Merlot and 20 % Syrah, aged for nine months in a combination of French and American (new and used) barriques. A medium intense purple-red colored wine with serious legs and an alluring bouquet of red berries, kirsch liqueur, spring blossoms and fine herbal nuances. The sumptuous palate is marked by rich bramble and plum fruit, a velvety texture, rounded tannins and a slight touch of vanilla. Harmonious finish. A pleasure to drink now, but can also be cellared for another 2-3 years.

Good dark fruit, enough body and acidity, good mouthfeel at the finish. Nice with food and easy enough to drink without.

Loaded with red fruits, this also has a good spice overtone. Medium- to full-bodied, with red fruit and licorice.

Deep blood ruby color. Soft slowly sweet cherry, blueberry & herb aromas. Poached berries, black cherry, cola. Smooth and soft, easy tannins, gentle finish.
