  • Pinot Blanc from Kaiserstuhl (Eichbuck), 13% vol.

Decanted 90 minutes before dinner. Starts very mineral with quite a strong bitter note, improves a lot with time and as it got warmer. Finally it gets dominated by ripe fruits (ripe fruit is the consensus at the table, on the details each smells something different), on the palate it is quite rich with a good freshness and a long finish, 92+.

Grand Cru level, Burgundy style, just at the beginning of its drinking window, will only get better with the years. A long decant is highly recommended at this stage. Delivers a lot for the money.
