At opening smelled a bit weird leaning toward an animal component. After some time in the glass this really opened up nicely. Initially it seemed a bit tired but aired allowed the fruit to come out. Very nice long finish.

This bottle was absolutely fantastic ! It shows a lot of finesse and is ‘very pinot’. Elegant and intriguing in a very refined way. Una principezza that keeps on seducing. She comes along with a Louis Vuitton handbag and a bit too much perfume which prevents me from scoring it 98. Anyway I hope I will be able to get more Nuits St Georges La Richemone as these wines are marvellous !

Tasted blind. I am confident this is pinot noir, and almost as confident it is Burgundy. Terrific aromas of funky earth, cherries, grass, cola, and sesame oil. I love the sensation of fresh red berry fruit on the palate. This obviously has some age to it—about ten years?—but it has room to develop. Drink or hold. Rating: 94.

Really good, but probably much too young. Fascinating aromas of sesame oil, black truffles, brown leaves, mint, and cherries. But on the palate, it presents mostly as cherries and strawberries, which is disappointing (to my tastes at least). I suspect that lots more bottle age will correct for this.

Outstanding. I loved the balance and the power of the bright red fruit, funky earth, and warm herbal aromas. Although Nuits St. Georges has a reputation for being big by Burgundy standards, I found this wine sleek and elegant. Tannins were soft, and everything tasted right for drinking now.

From an Enomatic sample and tasted after Burn Cottage 2015 PN. This is Burgundy, so distinctively different from NZ. Already some degree of autumn leaves and maturity coupled with sweet rather deep fruit. Medium bodied, very good fruit core and rather high acidity, ever so slightly tart. Better on the nose than in the mouth. Very, very likeable and in good shape now. 92-93p

Surprisingly approachable now. On the rougher side of the elegant but forceful Perrot Minot vocabulary. Lots of dense, rich red dark berry fruit in the nose with a healthy dose of sous bios and other forest flavors. Dark dark garnet red with NSG edges. On the palate, warmth, some serious extract ( I avoid the terribly overused reduction term) and a complexity that was unusual in a NSG under 20 years old.

Top Burgundy Tasting at the Sotto Lounge. (Netherlands): Beautiful blend of red and black cherries, a touch of cassis and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, with lovely purity, sappy black fruit and superb length. An exceptional Nuits.

Very high toned and floral, lots of lift. Lots going on too. Yep, this is burgundy on another level. Its super alive says Bill and I would agree. Lengthy and amazing finish.

DIVA Burgundy Tasting; 3/21/2012-3/22/2012 (Maison Champy - Beaune): Wine tasting. Black cherry with very exuberant spice, very Vosne-like aromatically, while more dense and meaty on the palate. All with good balance. A very charming and accessible young NSG 1er. 91-93 point potential.

This is outstanding. I liken it to a Cezanne painting in terms of color.

Showing some development, medium red
Nose is red fruit with berries, some spice and a typical "vosne" character with some maturity in the bouquet
Very good concentration, smooth, but with a good grip, still has some years to maturity, but really good now

Tasted pre-release. Big tannins but way too young at the moment.. flavours of cherries, and nose of rose and marshmallows
