Again a creased cork, cooking chicken risotto, some for the chef some for the rice. Slightly bronze but still pretty nice. The rest in the cellar are are quite intact, no sign of ullage or leakage good color but consumption soon.

Someone else noted some bottle variation, and I did with this bottle, still quite pleasant but slightly more oxidized/developed than it should be at this point. I examined the cork and there is a slight crease that would explain it. Looks like dull corker jaws pinching the cork. This creates a channel for air. Time to drink them up. Probably a three head corker so expect every third bottle to be at risk. That said it was still a drinkable wine last night and there were three winemakers having it.

PnP, 55F. Light medium yellow, hint if green. Nice nose with fruit and green and musk. Medium wt, stone, citrus, peach, pear; decent not huge acid, long finish. Nice, more complex and interesting than I would have thought at this price point.

A great wine at this price point. Initially a bit muted on the nose, but this wine comes out the longer it’s in the glass. Nice balance, but I was unable to discern multiple distinct flavors. Maybe some green apple, but very subtle. Definitely some stone on the finish.

Bad bottle. Apparently we bought sherry.

Bottle variation. Not flawed, but certainly not the best showing for this wine. I simply lacked anything special tonight.

A stunning value at a $17 price point with all the citrus, butter, flesh and balanced linger you could want. Classic Macon at a great price.

Nicely balanced with medium acidity. Flavors of pear. Good value at $16.

Somewhat muted on the nose, but some pear. Pear mid-palate. Wife picked up almond. Good QPR.
