Holy moly the nose on this blew my socks off, it smells almost artificially sweet but in the best way. The taste offers a lot more depth and tastes like a fruit pastry. A great alternative to a bottle of Bollinger, I wish I could get more.

Lovely intensity of both flavors and aromas here. Lemon zest, yellow apples, pears. Some fresh baked bread. There's an oxidative quality too; which gives off walnuts, almonds and pistachios. Very smooth mousse and great mouthfeel.

Dang nice, coming across very Champagne in the nose, great yeast profile buffeted by mingling mineral and lemony tropical fruit notes. Really smooth / lush mouthfeel leads into a tingly lemon finish, velvet yeast baseline.

rich yellow color, a very unique nose- mostly apples but with a distinct and deep streak of dark berry fruits, on the palate good firm structure surrounds a friendly and generous apple-driven fruit leading into a good finish, not a terribly complex wine- but balanced, unique and very enjoyable, if this were easier to obtain it would go on my short list of must-haves for festive events, young yet and I would be interested to see what happens to this with a little bottle age.

Took a few minutes to open. Herbal notes, followed by a lemony tang. Clean and clear with a nice acid spine. Very good quality bubbly. 2nd bottle 12/24/19: A bit softer this time, both palate and bubbles. Otherwise consistent. Too bad they're not making any more!

Wine Tasting Group - Theme: Obsucre Grapes - April 8, 2018 (Classic Wine Storage, Dallas, TX): 85% Pinot Blanc, 15% Chenin Blanc. PnP. Starts off with yeasty, bready aromas followed by tart apples and herbs. Palate was a complex mixture of apples, citrus, jasmine, herbs and minerals. Beautiful acids with nice fine bubbles. Long finish with a hint of grapefruit pith. One of the best wines of the night.

Couldn't resist since I have no experience with the D&R wines. I really enjoyed this. Lively bubbles. Enjoyed from a Zalto White stem. Cerebral wine that had a mouth watering sour note that was very intriguing. The nose also had a hint of cheese rind. Yes there is some fruit to the wine, but there were other layers to it. The bubbles really worked to keep everything in line. Mrs. didn't love it, but i'm buying some more...

Tasty, with an odd slightly smoky/peppery whiff. My wife’s comment was that it smelled like tequila.

Wine Tasting Group - Sherry/Madeira - Mar. 10, 2019 (My house): From memory. Yeasty brioche notes with tart apples and lemons, herbs, and minerals. Very nice bubbles with excellent acids. Nicely balanced and just delicious.
