Garnet color with some onion skin edge. 4 hour decant. Aroma of almond and berries. On the palate, the longer decant has helped to really soften the tannins. Otherwise the palate is raspberry and blackberry. More acidity than what I would expect. Not complicated. Pretty good food wine. Definitely would benefit from another year or 2 in the cellar.

Brunello di Montalcino "Reserve" by Poggio Salvi di Montalcino is a more structured wine than Brunello di Montalcino "Annata", resulting from a deep research work. Ten months of more aging in oak barrels give this wine even more balance, developing

This wine clearly exceeded my expectations. It delivers an expressive nose of spices, smoke, oak, dark red fruits, cocoa as well as balsamic. On the palate it is a bit dry, with slightly coarse tannins, good structure and succulent red fruited mid palate. Ready to drink, but quite fat from its peak.

Dark fruits, some oak, sweet cherries. Feels well made and modern in style. Might have opened this one a bit too early. Medium+ bodied, good acidity, feels almost clinical.

Medium to dark ruby colored. Dark berries and peppery notes in the nose. On the palate lots of dark cherries, cranberries and some dark cherries. Medium bodied with a medium- acidity. Lacking a little bit in structure and complexity. Nicely balanced overall mouth feeling. Finish is juicy and medium long. A little young in the moment, wait another 3-4 years before popping a bottle of this Brunello, it will definitely benefit from a few more aging. (IG)

The body is medium. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. Still very closed after an hour I think my rating will improve will try again in 2 years

For an entry-level Brunello this bottle delivers quality at a fraction of the price of much more well-known and celebrated wine makers from Montalcino. This is why beautiful vintages like 2015 can create spectacular values. I enjoyed this next to a bottle that was 3x the cost, and frankly, while it was not as good...it wasn't 3x as bad. I recommend this 2015 and give it a 91.

Dust, ripe cherry, some forest floor. The palate is traditional-leaning, with good but not great acidity. The finish is medium, the flavor depth is medium. Good, not great. Drink 2021-2031. recommended
Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello NYC. Clean fresh, floral and cherry. If not for a rather distracting flavor/scent I could not quite identify with everything going on at the event, I would have rated this perhaps as high as 94. To be fair this was one of the last wines I tasted and I may have been rather palate fatigued. So, I liked this and it rightfully deserves another look at some point.

Nice wine. Still pretty tight and tanic. Could probably use another year or two resting

Closed and tannic in the beginning, but opened up somewhat after some hrs. Need a few more years rest, I think.

Still too early to really enjoy at it's fullest. A bit closed. After hour 3 and a meal it started to soften. Give 2 years more at least

Brief whiff of barnyard, but then really nice cherry and red fruit. Surprisingly light weight on the palate and high toned acidity. Fine tannins.

Straight ahead Brunello. Classic character and medium body. Needed 30-60 minutes in the glass to really open up.

Delicious. Maybe not as challenging/interesting as
some other Brunellos but we drank this pretty quickly which is always a good sign

Flot årgang. Drikker fint allerede. Næppe den mest komplekse Brunello, men en fin og ligetil repræsentant fra området.
