Dramatic difference from my last bottle 3 years ago when this wine was big and burly, the additional time in the bottle has really benefitted the wine. Opened for friends with Memorial Day Weekend steak cookout and this bottle disappeared fast. Blueberry, mint, oak, lively acidity, great structure. Delicious!

Sipped a glass of this at the Bend, OR tasting room for Va Piano and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bought a bottle and opened side by side by side with a Quilceda Creek and a Woodward Canyon Old Vines. The Va Piano has a long finish, but lacks the balance and fruit of the QC.

Need to learn to put these Estate Cabs away for good long time. Big and burly. Went well with steak dinner with strong acidity and flavors blasting through but just too tannic for me right now to drink on its own.

Deep purplish ruby red. Dark nose with berries, flowers, anise and cinnamon. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) with a medium plus body. Dark chocolate on the palate with black currants, pencil shavings and spices. Long finish. Drink till 2028.

If this isn’t a good enough reason to join the Estate Club for Va Piano, I don’t know what is. Smooth, rich, dark, fruity, long finish. Wow!
