A well balanced ckassical and elegant Pauillac made from a blend of 76% CS and 24% Merlot, 50% new oak was used. 5% of production lost due to frost. Deep garnet, ruby hue. Intense aroma of blackcurrants, herbs, cherries, sweet tobacco, earthy and leathery notes, pencil lead, bay leaf, hint of raspberries. Medium+ body, soft and elegant structure, fresh and herbaceous notes along intense black fruit flavours, cloves, leather hints. Concludes with well integrated medium+ acidity and finely grained high tannins.

After decant, this wine opened nicely. Medium body with berries, mushroom, little earth. Smooth and very good drinking. good finish. Wish it would have a bit more body, but it is good. Leave for 4-5 years

Tighter fruit core with youthful black currants, some blackberries, light plum core, graphite, wood, spices and with a deep gravel layer.. Good full-bodied with slightly dense fruit of black currants, redder berries, purple fruit peel, matches, leather and with a nice layer of salt. Long and complex finish. Good acidity. Firm tannins, towards a little unfinished, but this is possible. Dense wine, so this needs 15 years in the cellar. Nice wine with great potential. 92 points. For now. (92-94p)

2017 UGC Des Bordeaux, San Francisco, nose of black berry, on palate, soft fruit, tasty, simple, almost mouth filling fruit, better in another year, pricey, medium body and medium finish.

The nose showed wild berry and cherry, with sweet herbs, spicy oak inflections, and a dusting red florals. On the palate, I found silky, pliant textures, giving way to wild berry fruits and spice with inner violet florals lifting the experience. The finish was long, resonating on sweet berries and hints of spicy oak.

Bordeaux 2017 En Primeur - In Bottle Tasting (Montreal): Quite a lot of smoke and meaty characteristics on the nose with a little blackberries and currents, the palate was full-bodied with chalky tannins, herbs and dusty earth rounded up the palate, a lot more savoury compared to the St. Juliens just tasted yet the fruit held it's it part and the tannins more refined.

A medium-bodied wine with an emphasis on the stylish black raspberry and cassis core, there is softness, sophistication and purity with refined tannins and tender fruit in the finish. The wine was made from a meld of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot.

Medium-bodied, forward, soft, classic and floral, the red fruit is sweet, fresh and juicy, with a good sense of purity and refinement.

Amsterdam UGCB Tasting and Winemakers' Dinner (Beurs van Berlage / Eden Hotel): Trade tasting, brief note. Wonderful soft fruit, earthy and floral complexity, balanced and flowing, barely visible tannins, could it be too soft?
