Rich blackcurrant, cedar and fine spices on the nose. Accents of leather and sweet tobacco. Medium bodied, fresh and elegant on the palate with great persistence. Hold.

App: medium ruby Nose: medium plus intensity; aromas of cassis, mint, smoke, violet, red rose petal, cinnamon, caramel, milk chocolate, new leather, vanilla. It’s developing. Palate: dry, high acidity, medium plus tannins, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus to pronounced flavour intensity, cassis, chocolate, long finish. Opened this bottle after two pours from Coravin. Still fresh and vibrant, seemingly more elegant. Perfect balance with acidity and fruit, alcohol is tamed as well. Lingering finish. So charming for a chilly autumn afternoon!

More outgoing and powerful aromas with a clear berry character of blackberries, some powerful plum, graphite, leather, licorice, light tobacco and deeper salt layers that create joy. Good full-bodied and easily extracted mouthfeel with great fruit of plums, blackberries, light slanted tobacco, wood and spices on a good and seamless finish with good acidity and tannin structure.

With a good depth of color, the wine shows a nice purity of juicy cassis while a leafy olive and pepper component keeps you interested throughout this full bodied, crunchy and classic experience. The tannins are a bit uncompromising right now but give the wine time, and it will prove to be worth the wait. This is the debut vintage from the new owners, the Cazes family. The bottle was also sport a new, updated label design.

Domaine visit. From MAG, decanted. Elegant, with soft tannins, good but a bit too light on the mid palate for a higher score.

Somewhat simple, but some classic Bordeaux flavors. lacks intensity and density. Basically a little thin. Not even close to worth the $

This (too) young Wine was decanted 4-5 hours ago and only now everything is coming together - delicious...
Casis, charcoal smoke, licorice, leather and spice. A promising future for This beauty (5 more cruising in the cellar).
Cheers!
