Great nose of earth and leather, dried flowers and tabaco. Notes of anise, cherries, pine needle and toasty oak. Long tannic finish that smoothed out as the night went on. Really drinking surprisingly well but kept improving over 4 hours in the decanter. This is just starting to enter a nice drinking window and will continue to develop over the next 10 years. Really a nice surprise, handedly better than the other Cab of equal cost in a blind tasting.

Great nose of dark fruit, leather, licorice. Drinking well now. Tannins have mellowed some since I tasted at release. I would think the drinking window would be thru 2025 rather than the 2030s.

Medium purple. An attractive though decidedly savory nose marries ripe black fruit aromas to notes of loamy earth, grass, salt-cured olive, and toasted oak. Medium bodied on the palate, with a decidedly light feel for the appellation, a medium level of ripe tannins, and medium+ acidity. The flavors are earthy with notable herbaceousness; this tastes like a Cru Bourgeois with slightly riper fruit. In that sense its pretty tasty, if somewhat atypical of Napa.

Delicious. Floral earthy and caramel notes. Would go well with sausage.
