Opened not decanted. Brought over by a friend. Black fruit attack; medium body weight; dry black cherry and blueberry notes; ends with a semi dry finish. Good

92-96 points by the experts, for me 90+/91. This wine shows primary and tannic on day one, after 2 days of air, better. This one is old-world in style, but for those with patience, cellaring should produce positive results as the experts suggest. It's is very tight and dry, definitely not a pop and pour, it never opened up despite extended air - 85 points day one. I can only imagine how this wine may have shown as a barrel sample, Yikes! Day 2 there's notable improvement but nothing really special or over the top. Certainly this wine is shows no where near the elevated scores given by the experts. Different strokes?
