Mid -gold, bright; some buttery notes, good tension; steely palate, underplayed oak; indeterminate finish. This is decent, but modern-day Pierro is rather tame.

A good wine not quite as exciting as a year ago. Still has a butterscotch hit on the nose which does not follow through to the palate which is lighter than you suspect

Medley of scents, large profile. Luscious texture, thick, citrusy and raw. Golden colour. Stonefruit on the mid-palate and chinese five-spice on the finish. Butterscotch and a relatively short finish.

A cracking MR Chardonnay. pale colour but the nose suggested a slight heaviness of butterscotch. On the palate however this was very elegant and nicely balanced. Hardly a bargain at around £30 a bottle but I would buy again.

good bottle. intense nose, ripe yellow and white fruits, modern with not overwhelming but present caramel notes. the palate is silky and ripe. ok length thanks to enough acidity. overall, this is clearly a well made new world chard. nothing exciting though.

Full MLF. New French oak for 50%. Beautiful nose – stone fruit, cashew, spice oak. Palate complex, balanced, rich but not heavy – similar flavours to the nose.

Spicy peach, cashew, pine, vanilla. Lively, mid-weighted palate with a spicy, lifted finish. It’s delicious and food friendly. No rush on this.

Surprisingly light in body and texture, not at all unctuous. Toasty stone fruit is balanced with a lithe citrusy freshness. Very drinkable.
