Dark ruby. Sweet fruit notes on the nose, pleasant. Palate is quite acidic, disappointingly dominant. Still has the the clare euculyptic background, but it is well in the background. Not up to usual standards.

Deep ruby to purple in color, Blackberry on the nose, confirmed on the palate before turning to blueberry followed by slightly vegetal and earthy flavors. Tannins start soft, but become quite astringent. Needs a fatty pairing to take the edge off. Medium acidity. Finish is medium.

A decent low cost Aussie Shiraz. I’m a big fan of Aussie wines, Shiraz and Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noirs. Not as peppery as some of the better Shiraz, but decent. That being said, there are others bottles of Shiraz I would buy instead, but A good Shiraz from Penfolds is more costly and more enjoyable. Wirra Wirra Catapault around same price point is much more enjoyable.
Good amount of fruit but no overall jammy; balanced for a shiraz and food friendly. Nice wine for the price point. Medium bodied with blackberry and black currant notes.

Sweet black fruit and liquorice with a lovely floral freshness with green herbs which makes this a delight to drink. No jammyness, a lovely lifted finish.

Massive eucalyptus flavor, blackberry syrup, black pepper, violets. Taste slightly sweet but still juicy thanks to medium (+) acidity. Loads of tannins, warming alcohol, quite full-bodied. Big wine but fairly short finish. Simple, well-made and aromatic but straightforward and lacking of depth. Good crowd pleaser.
A “new wave” fresher, lower alcohol (13.6%), cooler climate style shiraz for Clare Valley.
The back label says “Beautiful, bright and ready to drink now”. Personally I’d wait 4-6 years. It’s very bright and fresh with crimson flashes in the colour.
I imagine the 2017 (cooler vintage) is even more extreme.
Complex plummy, blueberry, blackberry, mulberry, peppery, spice, and some meaty aromas and flavours. It is medium-full bodied with smooth, supple tannins and cool-climate freshness. Some earthy notes on the mid-palate and dry flavour profile. Excellent finish length.

Decanted for 2 hours, really allowed this to show it’s best qualities. Great wine, especially at the price point.

Menthol, dark fruit and pepper. Straightforward, fresh and yummy. Not at all jammy. But not very good value.

Screw cap. Takes a few hours to open out to an interesting pepper and red spice
Firm tannins, approachable fruit
