Still drinking nicely with a sweet bouquet of coconut, some cherries and some bacon/umami. The palate was still in balance but I would drink it over the next few years.

still good, bordeaux like with mostly petit verdot and some cabernet sauvignon. 1 hour decant, very good for 2 hours, medium body, faded at the end. 90.5 rating

Legit. The real deal. This wine has aged fantastically. Better than the first. What a treat. Silky texture with perfumed aromatics. I really appreciate the wines of Viader.

Rim is browning ever so lightly, pleasant inviting nose, and somewhat subdued dark fruit on the palate with a mid-length displaying just a touch more cedary oak than this palate fully appreciates.

Brought this to Finny's gig and he opened an 03 V. This is a nice wine. Tannins are integrated. It has currant notes and still quite fruity. Have one more. Maybe open in a few years.

Similar notes to last time - dark berry, currant and spice flavors, dark color, excellent texture. Fine tannins make for very nice drinking right now. In half bottle.

Powell brought a signed magnum of this wine to Anwar's house last Saturday when he was in town. We drank it side by side with the 1999 Viader. Not on par with the 1999 in my opinion. I think Winetex called this "nice but uninspiring" in her Cellartracker note and I agree. Some of the same cherry notes as in the 1999 along with raspberry. However, the fruit was a little thinner. 87 points.

Opened at Anwar's. Similar to the '99 Viader with smoky dark fruit aromas and flavors. I preferred this just slightly over the '99 as it's ready to go.

From magnum, drinks well popping and pouring with a bit more fruit forward than I expected. 2 hours in decanter helps unwind a little.
