Mineral and cherrynotes in the nose. A elegant taste with more red fruit than black fruit. Alpine thing…During the next hours it got more texture and Gevrey spice. Just a very good Faiveley Gevrey. I like it now and will drink the last 2 within the next 2-4 years.

A hint of Barnyard in the nose and Gevrey too. Not so fresh red , turning to redbrown in color. Lovely and light with mature notes. I like it now with it fine tannins and the Premier status is clear.

A bit closed to begin with. nice red berries such as strawberries and raspberry. light and elegant but a bit muted. after three hours in the bottle: A bit more earthy, more deep and complex. Still light but deep. would keep in my cellar for a least 3-4 years. 92+

It’s a bit reductive out of the bottle but once the co2 shakes out this becomes simply delightful. Dark red berry fruit that’s seducing and a bit succulent. An array of earthy sauvage notes. Good depth of flavor but not particularly concentrated. Just a joy and so enjoyable this young. 92-94

Pnp at a dinner. Needed a bit of air in the open bottle but then it was lovely. Smooth but cool fruit and good acidity. Soft and integrated tannins. Great balance already. Medium length. Great wine, particularly with food

First bottle was corked and another where put up from the cellar. Just opened and not any air and it was just wonderfull. Charming with weight , elegant and with pleasent 2017 style. The 2017 is really a year to taste before the ‘15 and ‘16....Enjoy

Faiveley Cellar Visit and Tasting (Day 10, Visit 2) (Nuits St.-Georges): Barrel tasting at Faiveley. Charming black fruit comes across as nicely approachable already. Soft and forward with good+ density. Often a favorite, lesser known wine, I like the 2017 vintage here, 89-91 point potential.

Nice red with Turkey Dinner. Decanted in AM and poured first glasses to aerate on table a couple hours before seating.
