Fantastic first impression, dark yellow, intense and creamy with tons of exotic fruits and good balance between acidity, bitterness and wood. I think they made a Trockenbeerenauslese trocken. Das letzte Drittel der Flasche zeigt weniger Frucht, dafür ätherische Noten, Ballistol und das Holz tritt deutlich hervor. Absolut geil.

I had hoped this burgundian style chardonnay had more aging potential, but I was either wrong or got the wrong bottle. This one is losing its freshness and is definitely past its prime time.

Vibrant. Loads of fruit some of them excotic but not toppling over. Fab acidity, standing erect. gorgeous with grilled tuna. Had it fist in Giardini, Sicily, and it works just as well here in a cold and windy Sweden.

Giallo oro intenso. Naso opulento e maturo di frutta tropicale, pera. tostatura da legno ancora da assorbire. Opulento e maturo anche in bocca dove prevale la morbidezza a scapito della componente acido/dura. Finale di buona lunghezza.

The wine looks Yellow gold colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like and Banana. It tastes like Almond, and Honey. The body is Full. The wine is textured Linear. The wine finishes Long.

Wine Education Service Sicily Tasting (LSE, London): This won't be everyone's taste, but I love these buttery, rich chardonnays. Nose of tropical fruit, butterscotch, marzipan, nuts. Very creamy, very rich. Smooth, lush palate. Ripe fruit, full and unctuous. Just a little heat on the finish.

Wine Education Service - The Wines of Sicily (LSE): Elegant nose, flowers and honey, lovely. Creamy and buttery, fruit, the oak here is very acceptable, drinking well now and will kepp a couple of years.

As usual you get marzipan, honey, almonds and butterscotch on the nose and a full-bodied, creamy and rich mid-palate, with a dark golden color and a long finish. But this vintage is not as balanced as the 2006 as it shows over-exposure to oak. Drink from now until 2013.

This wine is a deep straw color, apricot and honey notes. medium-heavy body. Love the richness and robustness of it.
