I’ve had several previous vintages and this is the weakest. Still a good wine but much less body and depth than previous years (which were some of the best wines I’ve ever had).

Tonight's wine selection - with veal tenderloins. Nicely balanced (tangy fruit, dried herbs) and light on the palette - quite nice for a relatively inexpensive Pinot Noir. I would have it again (always a good thing).

Good spice and fruit, maybe a touch restrained or just harvested earlier fruit, or lesser depthful fruit sources. A plush mid and then a bit clipped on the back.

It’s definitely a lighter Pinot. Still tasting well.

Bright raspberry, leather, dried cherries, anise, wet rock, lingonberry jam. Rich expression of Pinot.

Ripe, weighty, and Syrah-like. Straightforward and enjoyable for what it is.

lots of matchstick and wood spice; lush and sour red fruit. Was not a big hit with the tasting group, but a couple liked a lot.

Forward nose of dried berry, tar, and cassis. Ripe, rich and weighty palate; good extract, warm to hot finish.

With some stem fruit to it? Spice, and red fruit. Tight on the back end. Cali fruit.
