A big Cab. A gentle entry of dark berry fruit--quite pleasant. Then some pretty serious tannin. Very pleasant CS sensations under the rear palate--charcoal, anise, leather, mineral. I have another bottle of this that I will let rest for a few more years.

Wow. I wish I had more! It’s drinking perfectly. Ripe blackberry on the nose along with cocoa, plum, chocolate covered blueberries. Full bodied, high acid and high tannins but deftly balanced. Long finish, smooth, silky mouthfeel. Serve alone or with hearty beef stew.

Silky, sultry red fruit with depth and richness. Balanced, easy drinking, and one of the more pleasurable and almost candied style of Napa. Masked the high alcohol pretty well.
No long term aging benefits here. Drink now.

This winery has consistently turned out awesome wines for a good period of time. This “table wine” was an amazing value for the price. The price has gone up substantially. That being said, this is still an awesome wine for the price. It’s too young. 2.5 hours later, the tannins are still too sharp. I will wait at least two years before I try the next. My experience has been that 7-10 years for this wine is a great sweet spot. Bright blue fruit, violet and rose water notes on the nose. Jammy blue berry opens up on your tongue. Nice cedar notes ease in. The tannins just need time to not be so sharp.

I tried this next to the 2013 Vineyard 29 Cru. I was disappointed. This wine is as tannic as can be. Next to the 2013, no comparison. Hold for years if you buy it and hope it softens.

Just a solid wine. Dark blue fruit with spice notes mix with violet and rose aromas with smoother tannin than the last bottle .

Delicious aroma. Vanilla, blueberry, earthy aromas. Tight earthy and tart flavors, with smokey notes
