Full, lush nose of black fruit with a bit of cedar and some raisin. The body is medium, the color brick throughout. This is soft on entry, taking shape through the swallow with some real heft in the midpalate and a longish finish. Notes of cacao at the very end. Perfect for drinking now, able to age for quite some time.

Medium ruby with some bricking on the rim. Medium-intensity aromas of fig, sweet balsamic, oak, freshly opened dried oregano, and cocoa. Molasses after 90 mins.
Flavours of dried fruit, fig, dried herbs, chocolate, minerals, and sweet balsamic. Medium plus acidity with soft tannins and a long finish.

An enjoyable bottle but I was underwhelmed compared to other Amarone’s I’ve had recently. It was appropriately on the sweet side and big, but despite a few hours decanting didn’t taste well integrated and the finish was a little terse.

Very fruity, in a good way! Velvety smooth mouthfeel with moderate tannins. Starting to taste the age as the alcohol is well integrated. I liked the 2010 a bit more (both excellent years), which were both 7 years old at tasting. Not getting any raisin flavors typically found in Amarone. While it is drinking very well, I will give at least another year before trying again. 4.1 stars. Happy Birthday Dave. You would have been 65 today. Miss you.

The alcohol and sugar were integrated very well and did not distract from bringing out the tasting notes of leather, cherry and plum. The end had a nice sweet herbal finish, but I still think it needs some more bottle age. Will taste again in two years

Disappointing. There's a particular oxidative fruit component that's bothersome, reminiscent of wine that's been open for too long. Medium-full-bodied, gaining weight with air. 14.5% ABV. 88+

Smoother, less concentration than expected from Amarone. So, I do understand the underwhelming comments. Our tasting group chose to embrace the bottle character rather than hold it against the wine. It's a fine blend of elevated acidity, fine-grained tannins, dark cherry flavors, roasted plum, olive, spice, leather, fresh-picked tobacco, and cedar. Enjoyable by itself and with food. Fresh and ripe without being syrupy on the palate.

Tasted during Zoom tasting hosted by Auriol Wines Hampshire, UK. This is a blend of corvina, rondinella and a few other varietals. It has a medium Burgundian colour. Good nose, mineral, polish, earthy. Rich palate, quite full, hedgerow fruits, a slight bitterness, but this doesn't detract from the pleasantness of the wine. I think possibly still a little young, maybe keep another couple of years.

Nice but fruit notes short, may be past it’s prime

Decent black cherry notes and leather, medium tannins. Not the best Amarone out there but good value

Budget priced Amarone. Better with an hour of air after decant. Very good with a simple pasta dish.

Wildcard Wines - Tiplers Blind Tasting Group (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA): Tasted blind. Definitely Italian, but leaned toward Chianti.

We have very little recent experience with Amarone, and expected even more in the way of dried raisins. Balanced and quite pleasant over 3 nights.

Ok, but not great for an amaroni. A little sharp, even after breathing, and not particularly full bodied or complex. Disappointed

Moderate ruby red color. Nose of raisins, plum, and black cherry. Black fruit flavors and still quite tannic. Enjoyable.
