Spiced apple and toast on the nose. Big, broad fruit spreading horizontally on the palate. It's got decent acidity, but the fruit character seems a little more advanced than I would expect, and certainly by contrast to the very young showing '17 Mouchere opened alongside this. The color was also a tic towards gold. This was really enjoyable, but I'm glad I opened this bottle now before it started succumbing to premox in earnest.

amazing. pretty nose immed hits you with lemon, wet stones, reductive notes. The mouthful has such pretty lemon curd with terrific bracing acidity and racy minerality. Medium bodied with a very pretty long finish. Pretty much all i look for in a top notch Boillot white burg is found here IMHO. Big fan of Henri Boillot whites...
PNP. Tropical fruit, peach and some flint on the nose. Deep palate, ripe and pretty rich fruit, lacking a bit of acidity and cut. Lovely tonight but I doubt this will make old bones.

Magnum. Ripe and flashy fruit makes this quite delicious and approachable despite its youth. The fruit is so forward, it makes you wonder whether it's worth (or has the bones) for aging - which is a bit surprising for format/vintage.

Great bottle. White peach, sweet floral, melon, spice. Lifted aromatics. Very fine. Tightened up after a bit. Needs time. Will be great if doesn't succumb to pox.

Opened and slow ox'ed for about 45 minutes before dinner (more to allow to come up to temp than to get air, as this likely would have benefited from some time in a decanter) - really delicious bottle, with citrus and lemon. Really love Henri's whites - they truly make you appreciate Chardonnay as one of the greatest noble grapes.

Similar to my last note. This is an incredible bottle. Light and fresh with enough richness to keep it interesting. There’s some light oak influence and the perfect amount of struck flint reductiveness. A beauty that is hard to resist now.

This was a spectacular bottle. Rich, yellow fruits, toasted nuts, and a smoky note round out the impressive aromatic profile. The palate is full and mouth-filling, but bright and energetic at the same time. The finish begins on the center palate with a mineral grip and then just lasts and lasts. Wonderful wine, drinking very young, but very well. What a delight.

Slightly more oak influence than the Perriers form the other night. Not in a bad way though. This wine remains crisp and delicious. Slightly unripe pineapple, Meyer lemon, and vanilla on the nose. There is more acid as well and it is a bit lighter bodied. This is built for the long haul but it’s lovely now for it’s verve.

Initially, tart and awkward. Let it breathe and be rewarded. After a day on Coravin, then 45 minutes in the glass, it mellows into something special. Soft lemon fruit, dry, chalky-salty-minerality and gunflint. At once vivid, yet light, seems likely to improve with time.

Pausing for the Cause Fundraiser and Dinner (Obelix - Chicago IL): From magnum. Very big and rich, this nearly had a New World character, but finishes with enough energy to retain its balance. Needs to to soften.
