Man, I was psyched to try this again. But, compared to tasting it on release, I found it a significant let down. The alcohol is really really showy. It comes across as far more shrill and high pitched than I remembered as a result. It has some of the same honeycomb and lime fruit, but didn’t hit any of the same buttons for me 3 years later.

I think I got a less than stellar bottle. The cork seemed too dark. And the color was very advanced and dark. Almost orange. Still, there is decent orchard fruit in the nose. Still decent acid on the palate, so still fresh enough, but wow, this does not strike me as a mid-ninety point wine. 4-13-16-8: 91/100. Just read others' notes after making my own. All have merit. The ones that resonated with me were the following: cidery; pineapple; resin; dried candied fruit.

Well this is a wonderful wine! Golden yellow with aromas of lemon, honey, and peach. On the bud, it’s rich and fills the mouth with a nice mineral and tangerine note.

Light golden color. Very rich nose of dried candied fruits, dark honey, and Thai basil. Palette shows mild Szechuan peppercorn, pear, plum, and granite. Rich mouthfeel and medium+ acidity. Finish is short and divergent at this young stage.

Really interesting. Gorgeous nose, with pineapple, resin and mint. The palate was slightly too 'natural' for my taste, with a little cidery edge to it, but also honey, green fruit, and really well-mananaged acidity, that combined with an almost overwhelming saltiness to make the wine extremely moreish even at the same time as it was slightly unappealing.

This was on absolute fire. Shimmering gold in the glass. Totally exotic and intoxicating nose, with melon ball, star fruit, and honey comb. It was atypical for the Chenins I’ve tasted so far, with a lot of late harvest notes, even a hint of botrytis. Electric acidity on the finish you expect to be sweet but remains fully dry. Best Chenin blanc I’ve ever tasted

Not as enjoyable as previous years. Seems to be aging rapidly and perhaps is going through a dumb phase.

I knew better than to open this (again) so young, but it’s so difficult to resist
