earthy, dust floral nose. much better when it has time to breathe. very long finish of smoke, licorice, dark fruits, tobacco, spice. medium body. much better than I remembered. had this 6 months ago and it has improved.

Thursday Night 5 for $5 (The Grapevine - Pocatello, ID): Dark ruby/garnet with moderate nose of earth and barnyard, a bit tight. Light to medium body with lively/fresh acid, high soft tannins, and earth, dirt, mushroom, wood, and pepper on the palate. A bit hot. Medium length finish. Very nice complexity and balance. Very enjoyable.

This wine created a very unique tasting experience. The nose on this wine is a pungent earthy aroma that can deter the novice wine drinker. Let the wine breath in the glass and it will get better. Your palate will bring out the dark fruit and pepper in this wine. I see this wine being paired with a bold and spicy steak.

Dark purple in color. Nose shows dark berry, smoke, tar, and herbs. On the palate, funky dark fruit, black pepper, tar, and earth. Overall good, but not great.

Earth, funk and beautiful bright fruit. Nice long, smoke and spice finish. I love that brett/mourvedre nose.

distinctive quaff - very southern france - dusty chalky burnt earth - surprisingly light - thus the lower score, but hoping it gets better tomorrow.

Easy drinking, full-bodied GSM. Dark berries, pepper, and spice. Mild tannins. Good QPR here.

Very good value for the price. Bit of smoke and tar. Some earthiness.
