Rather good and much better now than a tasting a few years back. Oak has receded to a sensible level 13.5% ABV Had a real yellow richness but is lighter on feet Plenty of zinging acidity and not a dense butter ball that the colour perhaps dictates Very good - a real European US hybrid

Medium lemon Color. A lot of peach, butter and smoke on the nose. Med acidity, Med alcohol, med body, Med flavor intensity, Med finish. A lot of butter, smoke, overtowering the fruit, which is not sth I personally like. As a consequence lacks a bit of freshness and vivacity. A bit disappointing but still paired well with our sushi’s.

This is drop dead gorgeous. Tinned peaches, tropical fruit, toast, coconut and lemon peel framed by good acid and spicy oak. Round but frsesh. Easy drinking and dangerously moreish. One of the nicest chardonnay I have ever had - possibly the nicest. Better to my palate than the Monte Bello chard and half the price. A definite rebuy.

Appearance - darker in color than I expected. Like apple juice. Deeper golden color. Honeyed looking. Also, I had a bit of an issue pulling the cork. It broke mid steam. It doesn’t smell or taste off but wonder if this is a non typical bottle.
Nose - very fragrant. Medium intensity. Sweet, ripe apples and cinnamon. Apple sauce. Honeysuckle. As it gets more air picking up lemon, mandarin orange.
Palate - pops on palate. Medium plus acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, finish is medium plus. No real surprises here. Apple. There is a slight pithy bitterness I’m picking up on finish. Or the bitterness of too much cinnamon.
Nose gets sweet, palate getting more blend of sweet, sour, bitter. it’s crisp, minerality, the bitter finish is a bit off putting to me.
I usually enjoy wines from this producer more than I’m loving this one. For the price I would expect something more interesting.

91+. Really lovely. Easy drinking in a way but lovely freshness, tropical fruits and some counterbalancing apple? lemons? Nice level of oak (tropical/ coconut). Definitely California. Nicely done.

This is one of the most impressive wines I have ever drunk. Concentrated golden Chardonnay which delivers in all areas. Vis
