91-92 Serious value here. Organic viticulture in the high hills of Ventoux. Mainly Syrah (the key to my enjoyment) and minority Grenache from old vines at high altitude (250-350msl).
Inviting brooding nose of dark cherry, raspberry coulis, whole black pepper, dried sage. Full body on pal but with restrain and structure. The Syrah gives more gruff, savoury notes. Garrigue, fresh tree bark and a concentrated dark fruit component - plum flesh. Real lift to the acidity, ut married very well with the fruit concentration (doesn't stick out). A lesson in how to do full bodied well.
We got through countless bottles of Ventoux in '21 when we were in the Luberon. Exciting to see where the appellation goes.

Thought this was quite good. We had a 2016 for starters which may have been a bit more complex. The 2017 nevertheless was easy to drink, delivering straightforward Syrah joy to the palate. Very good value for money. I do agree with previous notes that this will not get more refined. Enjoy now or in the next 3-5 years

Lacking the weight and intensity of the two previous vintages. Lighter style wine from a difficult vintage. I doubt this will gain from cellering. For short term drinking.

Deep red color wine with full body. Notes of pepper and spice with light alcohol notes perceptible. Quite the level of complexity but unfortunately some of the alcohol is noticeable.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis), cinnamon, oak and coconut. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), oak and vanilla. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

A lot of ripeness to this wine, very concentrated, dense and fruit-forward. Deep purple colour with intense aromas of Cassis, fresh violets, blackberry and dark red sweet cherries. This is a medium-full bodied wine with chewy tannins along with strong characteristics on the palate of stewed and ripe dark red fruit. Drink now and over the next 3 years.

Drinking a point, all though still quite tannic; a food wine. Sound fruit, plenty of local garrigue, very rustic, a bit forced.

Biked up Ventoux, then had a bottle of wine. Pretty solid for the price.

Dark purple color. Excellent wine for the price. Takes about an hour to breathe. To pair with red meat.
