  • m- depth ruby, clear, a little brick hue, watery edge, slightly dark core. good varietal flavours: cassis, dark plum, woody notes. medium bodied, medium ripe tannins, solid acidity. however, it's a little diluted (compare to Awatea) and somewhat hot in throat though only 13% alc. m- finish with some vanilla notes. a generally moderate red blend.

left in refrig for 2 nights, much better mellowed, round, more cedar emerged, rich creamy notes in finish, though still a little hot.

    Ap: 4/5; Ar: 11/15; Palate: 16/20; overall: 2+2/10
    TOTAL: 85/100
