Cherry with herbs. Even a bit of mint! Tasting fresh. Initially a bit tart but then mellowed out. And the flavors keep changing on the back end. Flavors keep going. Seems to be more new style than traditional. We opened a bottle four years ago and is much better today. Sadly, our last bottle. Was great with caramelized onions, mushrooms with ramps. Wife related the experience to the Smokey Mountains with rolling hills of flavor. Very poetic!

light red color, robust nose of plum and dark fruits, clove, dark chocolate, on the palate vibrant and racy, sleek and polished, a ripe and joyous buttery red fruit tending toward the exotic, good length, primary still but showy in its way.

An exotic Red Burg. with a brooding nose with a touch of funk with dominant bright red cranberry fruit, spice and some leather on the finish. Maybe a touch of VA on the finish? A modern style producer of Burg.

Seductive and expressive with raspberries, violets, spice and iron. Good density on the palate with good core red and purple fruit, yet you can still taste hint of rusticity of the NSG terroir. In fact, like many 2017s red, it is already drinking well. Excellent at this price point. 91-92

So pretty! Balanced nose of red fruit, burgundian barnyard funk, with a touch of vanilla and oak. I liked the fruit - no cherry cola bomb here, more like pomegranate and strawberry and very balanced. A tad more acidic than I anticipated on the palette which helped pair beautifully with food. Good length. Excellent stuff that is drinking well right now.

Opened and it is classic red burgundy. Barnyard funk, Cherries, blackberries, and dry forest floor. Taste was same but with a tartness. After the 1st hour it became more complex. Getting graphite now. Cassis. Becoming more robust and more round. Herbs. Tartness is subsiding. Ready now but will get better.

I hesitated opening this wine assuming it was far too young. I was pleasantly surprised. This is smoking good! Already approachable with exotic strawberry jam laced with Burgundy character and goodness. Love the mineral, mushroom, and elegance. Decanted for 1 hour.
