Deep garnet color, nice thin legs & a nose of black cherrier & raspberries. Black cherry & currants in fruit forward, smooth tannis and a mild spice of tabacco oak in a medium finish. This is a wonderful syrah and is drinking wonderfully right now(as it has for the past two years). Not a big fan of Columbia Winery but this is a constant favorite in my cellar. If you can find more of this vintage buy it...I only have 2 more bottles left in my case.

Deep ruby with aromas of plum, spice, raspberry and berry. Flavors of smoked meat, tar and spice finish with a full mouthfeel and intensity that allows the fruit to come through. It is very good now and should continue to age through 2009.

Let me just say this about that. I think that Washington, especially the Columbia Valley is the most underated wine region in the world in terms of the quality of the wines produced. I don't know if that has been said before, but there, I said it. And it needed to be said. This was a real lip smacker. Picked up on the Raspberry and a little bit of spice. Nose was appealing and enjoyed the finish. For 15 bucks you can't beat the value.

Rich nose, still plenty of fruit. Similar taste with round mouth feel, ripe berries. Moderate finish.

Boy, what a really excellent Columbia Valley Syrah. Black seeded fruit, some spice, but really well balanced. Great mouthfeel.

Bright berry flavors are nicely balanced by a classic syrah mouthfeel and firm (but not harsh tannins). Meat and spice on the finish. A tasty syrah.
