  • Decided to check in on a bottle from my half-case to celebrate NYE, and my engagement.
Pours a deep red. Slow-ox for 5 hours. Bright bouquet of red fruit and spice. First sip started tasting a bit thin, but wow -- that first impression missed the mark. This is both tightly wound and shocking accessible, likely a mark of the vintage (or perhaps the slow ox).

Ripe fruit, with a bit of herbs and spice, carries it through a remarkably long finish. I can't wait to see what this has in store down the line, but man -- it is fantastic now, presuming you give it time to breathe. The friendlier side of Corton.
