Great, classic Zinfandel nose. Tons and tons of red fruit and jam on the palate. A big wine (14.5% alcohol) that can easily last another few years. I'm slightly concerned that this wine is a little too jammy.

1hr glass decant; opaque, medium dark zinfandel color. Anise and spice on the nose; some citrius orange peel; and a little mint. Medium bodied, the entry is a bit off with flabby, unconcentrated fruit that leads to a semi-hollow mid-palate; finishes with a substantial amount of mouth drying tannins. You can sense some of the sierra foothills terrior in this wine, but the quality of fruit is lacking. There's a chalkiness that's kind of nice - coats your teeth; on the finish some tobacco or cloves.

Had at Robyn's Holiday party, restaurant price was fairly steep. Actually a little better than I expected. Mostly red fruit with some nice spice on the finish. Pretty good with food. I would buy if I found on sale.

Red fruit flavors and soft tannins but relatively bland finish. Quite one-dimensional. I had this after a bottle of 2005 St Amant Mohr-Fry Ranches zinfandel, and I much prefer the St Amant. Update: Flavor profile increased in complexity and became more enjoyable over the next couple of days. Increased rating to 87 from initial 85. A good value at Costco price of $11.99.

Once a year, we're able to get this for around $8 a bottle and we usually get a case. It normally sells for $14+ ... and for that, it's a wonderful Zin. With burgers or a steak, it holds up well and you can drink it by itself before food. We like it!!

Had half of the bottle last night with grilled boneless pork chop and tonight was pizza and it was a very good match for both.

Good fruit and balance... Little bit of alcohol at first but diminished quickly... A good daily wine

One of our standbys with simple fare and it did its job again. The bottle was finished in one sitting ... again!
