  • A big lucious strawberry field. That was my first and most prominent impression. Amazing balance and grace, over an hour of consumption and it did not fade or fall apart. Quite an impressive Burgundian experience that shows how a talented team can creategreat wines can come from less illustrious fields.

  • I had never heard of Maranges. It just goes to show how important the maker is, more important than appellation and vintage. Light and intense with a beautiful long aftertaste. Quite delicious.

  • Likely far too early to pull this, but my folks were over for their 41st Anniversary, so why not?! Poured prior to a dinner of chicken marbella (silver palate cookbook). The nose expressed some earthy mushrooms and fruit intermixed with a little tar. A well bred wine that (obviously) has pedigree and structure to go another decade. I will forget the remaining btl for 5-8 years.
