Medium lemon. Stone fruits, vanilla, candid peel nose/palate. Well balanced long finish. Medium acid. Drinking well, very good wine. Should continue to drink well for at least 4/5 years.

Bergström I've always enjoyed - old school, classic stuff. This has an undefined nose that moves into pineapple on the palate. Pineapple and coconut, which tells me this saw some American oak. I'm a fan of subtle American oak, but what's left is not a good match with Chardonnay. Still, it's not over-powering, but as it warmed up it became more prominent. I think if they cut it in half they'd have a winner - then it'd just be a very subtle hint. Now it veers into sunscreen territory, and that doesn't work on fresher varieties, in my opinion. A red could take it, probably. Still, a nice wine. No complaints if this had been in the $20-30 category, but I know it was a bit more than that.

92+ Classy, excellent VFM Oregon Chardonnay. Blend of Bergstrom's three top Chardonnay vineyards. At the start of its drinking window.
N: Flinty, zippy citrus spray, airy chalk & wet river stones, floral blossom and yellow orchard fruit.
P: Intense wash of sharp but ripe citrus, crushed slate, turns to a more broad mouthfeel with subtle bruised apple and white peach. Lifting, tingly med+ acidity and a phenolic chalky grip holds everything in place.
F: Waxed lemon zest, v subtle vanilla and creme anglais.
This was so, so good. Chablis-esque mineral texture with the intensity of a more new world Chardonnay. Oak is very very well measured. Would love to see this evolve. Awesome for c.£25.

OR/WA Sept 2019; 9/3/2019-9/7/2019: elegant and fresh apple-y fruit, not lots of oak showing on the nose. some oak on the palate for sure, but really nice with super sexy texture, although not too creamy, more fruit textured. Sweet red apple fruit palate, 18m in barrel (more than the PNs). 'bright, fresh, crisp, salivating.' - Josh on how the (his) Chard should be.
Old Stones comes from Temperence Hill, this is not an estate site. It's farmed Organically, not Biodynamically. Along with some Pre du Col fruit and an additional estate site.

Popped and poured. Simple easy drinking Chardonnay with bright fruit and acidity. Great summer sipper. Enjoyable but not a good QPR vs. what is available on the market. Would drink over the next several years.

A bit light, feels over the top, not so much fruit anymore and a shorter finish.

Nice and straight forward. Fresh and clear in taste but not much of any other nuances that stood out. reasonably short finish

Nice and easy to drink. Fresh but with some maturity. Not very long palate.

As January 2021.
A little paraffin, aniseed on the nose.
Very good wine which should evolve and drink well for 5+ years.

Lovely expression of the grape... elegant, balanced and a nice blend between old world Burg and new world Chard. I would buy this again.

Nice mineral noted and light fruit. Opens up well, though not necessarily worth the price tag

Fresh, bright, and clean. Citrus with a saline mineral streak. Easy to enjoy!
