  • Outrageously good even this young. Had one glass from Coravin and then opened and decanted for a couple of hours a few weeks later. From a hot vintage and as a result, the fruit is a little darker and richer than you normally see from Oddero - but still bound together nicely with a seam of tannic structure. A bold Barolo, that will age seamlessly. First one from the case so really looking forward to watching this one develop...

  • Barolo Trip; 4/3/2022-4/7/2022 (Barolo): Fifth and final bottle tasted at Oddero.

4,000 bottles, south exposure, 250m, 70 yr old vines.

Complex nose, very layered. Mushroom, herby, mossy.
Balsamic notes on the palate, cinnamon. Great acid, long finish. Spice stays with you for a long time.

This is a great wine. I think it will be ready in a couple years with the right amount of air.
