Middag og noen Bordeaux 80-tall: Blind. Kompleks og dyp nese, svak reduktivitet; kompleks og lang i munnen, stor intensitet, laser-skarp, kompleks finish. Trodde Puligny.

PNP. The nose is clean and airy, showing flinty minerals, citrus zest and a sharp spice element. Dry and chalky palate, fairly lean for the vintage and showing very young with a chalky, drying, mineral laden finish. Crisp and flavorful, leaner than a typical Meursault.

Friday evening at Bishan. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medum intensity, yellow lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of flinty minerality, stony minerality, nutty toast oak, citrus lemon. Developing. On the palate, dry, rounded high dipping to medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of almond nut, honeyed cream, deep citrus lemon, green apple, soft green pear, flinty stones minerality, oak spice. Long finish. Very good quality. Complexity and good substance. Nitpicking, just lacking the acidic tension that I like. Otherwise, actually quite classic. May improve as it ages and achieves more harmony.

The Last Few Weeks; 9/1/2020-11/2/2020: Sizzling bottle of Meursault. Aromas were just great with intense lemon/lime flavors, chalk, flint, and floral notes. The palate was incredibly energetic. The citrus was prominent but there was this mesmerizing electric core of acidity that stopped me in my tracks. One of the better Meursaults I’ve had over the last few years.

Delicious bottle. Notes of lemon, smoke, and savory components on the nose. Palate provides lovely depth and structure. Good finish.
I've been spoiled by his Clos de la Mouchere bottling and I had some palate fatigue by the time I got to this Charmes, so despite tasting a bit underwhelming, this is clearly still a great wine.

An incredible 1er cru that will drink on a grand cru level with some bottle age. The wine has loads of minerality and character and loads of aging potential. Needs to soften a bit but so much fun to taste now.

Consistent with prior tasting notes. This wine is beautiful and approachable right now but will certainly benefit from bottle age. 94+

Time has done this wine well. This has put on more weight. Everything is in balance. Classic meursault. Will get better with time. Outstanding
