I've often struggled to find every day value in Bordeaux (<$25) because a) I don't experiment with it enough and b) My interests are often elsewhere. But I really enjoyed this. It tastes of a place. It's accessible and delicious. That's a bingo! $15 at my local Costco.

Opened 1.5 hrs before our Cornish hen meal and it was very good. Began losing it after 3.5 hrs, so if there are four of you, I’d stick with 1.5 hrs. Reidel cab/Bordeaux glass.

A strapping, iron fist in...well...an iron fist. Cabernet Sauvignon, with purple and black berries, pepper garden, and gravel, dominates the bouquet and profile. For all its power, the wine retains an unmistakable sense of place. Even the 14.5 abv comes off relatively seamless. There was a time when bracing wines such as this made a greater impression. Less so now. Still, a fine gateway to traditional, Left Bank Bordeaux for uninitiated, New World oriented, fruitophile palates, seeking to understand Bordeaux.
There is no reason to not drink this now; but it should evolve for another three to five years and last through 2030 or so. Afterwards, the alcohol might begin to dominate. Exceptional QPR at Costco for $17.
Nose: Sweet cassis and blackberry, slate, ever so distant mix of cocoa and tilled earth. Palate: Blend of ripe cranberry and dusty black fruit, hint of green leaf, rounded tannins that carry a faint sour astringency, which I could be mistaking for mild oak tannins on the back end. Solid everyday Bordeaux.

Medium bodied, with loads of fresh, sweet, ripe red fruits, tobacco leaf and herbs. On the palate, the wine is earthy, fruity and with a strong tobacco and cedar component in the mid-palate and in the finish. The wine is made from a blend of 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot.
Medium bodied, soft, round, forward, earthy charmer with the character of ripe, red fruits, tobacco, espresso and currants in the finish. This is not for long-term aging. So give it a few years and enjoy it over the next 10-12 years or perhaps longer. The wine is made from a blend of 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot. 89-91 Pts

Had this in March and stay with same rating. It was beautiful after about two hours air. Reidel Bordeaux glass. I was tempted to give this a 92.

Ouvert 2h avant de deguster, vraiment meilleur que la bouteille ouverte l'an dernier. Beaux fruits noirs, cuirs, etc!

Fun with good power, just a little bitter, hence slightly disjointed.
