  • D1
Nose of Cherries, herbs, and chocolate for a sweet round and sumptuous bouquet.

Palate of full bodied with an angular and bracing middle. Chalky black cherry and wet stone up front. Chalky tannins with a mineral mid palate with hints of chocolate. Lovely finish with notes of licorice and a menthol feel. Chewy and pleasant end.

    D2:
Nose of soft bright berries…almost melon. Hints of bay leaf.
Palate has cherry up front with wet stone still there. Much softer. Better on Day 1.

  • Black cherry, licorice, pencil lead, cherry pipe tobacco. Grippy tannins, long finish. Could use 2 to 4 more years, but quite good.

  • Smoke, espresso, licorice, flowers, red pit fruit and crushed rocks pop up easily. The purity of the fruit, silky textures, lift and length allow this beauty to stand out. The wine has volume, depth, complexity and a velvety finish. The wine blends 78% Merlot with 22% Cabernet Franc.

  • Espresso, flowers, rocks, anise, stones and ripe fruits only tell part of the story. The wine is rich from all the plump, lushly textured, pure fruits, licorice and dark cocoa. The wine has volume, depth, complexity and velvety textures. This is just a joy to taste. The wine blends 78% Merlot with 22% Cabernet Franc and is aging in 45% new, French oak. 93-95 Pts
